i'd have thought he would have to carry out that role in a personal capacity now though, given that the council as a whole have decided they no longer wish to be a part of, or contribute council tax payers money to, a new labour think tank which campaigns for more private sector involvement in public services

(it's interesting to note that some of NLGN's major backers - Jarvis, Sodexho, Accenture, Aerco, Amec, etc.. have all won substantial private supplier contracts with the NHS since the formation of NLGN - nice to see lewisham council tax payers money going towards funding the facilitation of such things)

I'm sure that Steve feels the same level of affinity with the NLGN as ever, he's <a href="http://www.nlgn.org.uk/public/about-nlgn/board-members/" rel="nofollow">a board member</a> after all.

interesting to see also that in the same session bullock's love in with the new labour local govt network was brought to an end, with the withdrawal of lewisham from said network

any idea where the extra £7m came from?

i know there's been cuts to things like the SAGE project, vulnerable children projects, increased contributions/charges for after school clubs and children's holiday club fees, and also slashing skills courses for job seekers, but i doubt they all add up to £7m
