feeling old(er)

I’m not sure if its the sudden on set of lower back pain or opening my new copy of Mojo (a sign in itself) and seeing how old J Mascis looks which is making me feel a fair bit older than I did last week.

J was never someone who photographed really well but I hadn’t really seen his face for a couple of years and it was just a shock.  Anyway, better news is that they (Dinosaur Jr) are back in the studio recording a new album.

More, no doubt, will emerge here.

About Andrew Brown

I live in Lewisham, South East London, and spent 9 years as a Labour councillor in the borough between 1997 and 2006.

Give me J. Mascis over Pete Doherty or Johnny Borrell any day of the week.

Youth, it’s over-rated (or at least it is in their talent-less hands).

Does it have to be either or? I’d rather have the first Libertines album than Green Mind (for example).

  3. andrewstevens says:

It’s just subjective then. Green Mind has ‘The Wagon’ while The Libertines is just ‘My Old Man’s A Dustman’ x 10.
