Pasta with Leeks

Pasta with Leeks

A very easy Jamie Oliver.

Cut up a few leaks (one per person), and gently fry them with a garlic clove in butter and olive oil for 10 minutes.

Then add 50g of mascarpone per person and let it melt into the leaks (I added crème fraiche too (but that’s not in the original recipe.). This takes about 6 minutes, and if the sauce is a bit thick then you can add some of the pasta water.

Nice blog, I will come back and keep reading. Please take a look at mine, it’s about slow cooker recipes.

Bugger! My ‘english pasta’ dish has been stolen by that cad, Jamie Oliver!!

Btw, the chorizo dish was interesting…..I messed it up somewhat but it tasted good apart from that. I’ll blog about it tomorrow eve as I’m currently in Coventry.

btw btw, try adding some smoked salmon to the leeks. don’t know how that works with mascarpone, though.

You’re brave trying the chorizo thing, it looked like it took a fair bit of cooking, and the eggs at the end looked and tasted great, but so easy to get wrong.

Like the idea of salmon with the leak and pasta, and think it’d work very well with the mascarpone. It won’t though make my kids want to eat it, their loss.
