Civility

I’m sure that Tessa Jowell will get some stick for expressing support for the idea of a code of conduct for bloggers. But it’s interesting to see she’s in the bear-pit of CiF arguing her case, and that she’s not just sending some copy and watching the fireworks.

I doubt whether it’ll take us that much further forward in creating an online culture of debate that’s cognisant of where the lines are between robust expression of views and intimidation and harrasment. But good on her for entering the debate.
