5 Pledge Charity Run

As part of a regular service I give readers here’s yet another chance to put your hands in your pockets for a good cause:

On 15 July Anna, Vikki, Helen, Di and Roshan will be running for Cancer Research at Blackheath. We have bought our reinforced sports bras and now just need a little bit more cash to reach our fundraising target. We urge you to dig deep and to sponsor us via our fundraising site – www.justgiving.com/thefivepledges

In return we will stick to our five pledges which we believe show the clear dividing lines between us and the other runners

  1. We will cut our waist sizes to 30 inches or under as we prepare to take on this mammoth run.
  2. We will introduce a fast track punishment scheme for the runner who finishes fifth.
  3. We will cut spectator waiting times by running that extra bit faster
  4. We will consider a windfall levy on our fatcat friends who do not sponsor us.
  5. We will set tough rules on ourselves to strengthen our running resolve and ensure the chance of drop-out is as low as possible thus making sure that hard-working Cancer Research is better off.
