So that’s Friday evening sown up

Having listened to a fair bit of the current series on the radio it will be good to be reminded just how good West Indies cricket was.

The BBC archive film captures behind the scenes footage of the 1976 West Indies cricket team preparing for what would prove to be an historic tour.

Some of my earliest cricket memories are of the later ‘black wash‘ tour, and it’s names from that era of West Indian cricket that still resonate.

Might have to keep my oldest son up as well as he’s cricket obsessed too.

Should you want to be reminded of contests between England and the WI then the BBC have a whole load of clips on their cricket pages at the moment that take us back down memory lane.
