Planning Alerts

I’ve just been told that Planning Alerts have added Lewisham to the list of authorities that they cover.

The site means you don’t have to rely on seeing those bits of lamenated yellow paper as you walk to and from work. (Great news for me as I’m someone who likes to read my book as I walk down the street.) Instead they’ll send you an email when anything gets submitted – and cleaver than that you can choose how interested you want to be as it allows you to choose what range you want to be told about.

Big kudos to Richard the man behind the site.

Update – Just had my first alert come through:

The alteration, conversion and change of use of 139 Brookmill Road SE8  from cafe (Use Class A5) to residential (Use Class C3) together with the construction of a two storey extension to the side and single storey extension at second floor level, the alteration to the front, side and rear elevations and the installation of a new shopfront to provide 2 one bedroom, 1 two bedroom self-contained flats and 1 two bedroom self-contained maisonette. (Revised plans submitted and description amended accordingly).

    well spotted, thanks

I’ve signed up to see what is going on around here as there is a lot of development in Forest Hill at the moment, most of it for the better.
