The difference between Greenwich and Lewisham.
(the Greenwich link via The Greenwich Gazette)
….is that Greenwich is where the rubbish is created, and Lewisham is where it’s cleaned up?
true, but I would rather have the council look at issues of making the place a better place to live and leave the shopping and business to the private sector, no?
of course, they could make their home page a little more attractive
I think I can speak with authority, as:
a) I’ve been a taxpaying voting resident of both boroughs
b) that’s me
The main difference between them is that when we say “Lewisham” we pronounce all the letters, and there is more or less one received pronunciation.
“Greenwich” (“Grinidge”, “Grinitch”, “Grenidge”, ad nauseam…) is quite another matter.
Oh, and there are far fewer of us Lewisham residents in the flood plain 🙂
