Request for information about Lewisham tenant movement leaders

Raymond has been in touch to ask:

Do you know the names of any tenants leaders in Lewisham between 1960s and 1990s and anything about Lewisham tenants’ federation?

To be honest I’m not sure I’m the right guy for this, but maybe one of you could help.

I have this quite extraordinary document giving account of the demise of the Lewisham Organisation of Private Tenants.
    I posted it here:

I’ve had the following via email:

I would point your correspondent in the direction of Shirley Mucklow, who is still active in Bellingham and I think was the FELTRA support worker for much of this period.

Cllr Ron Stockbridge would also be a good starting point to cover who he met with over many of those years.

Current tenant leaders eg Bellingham Pat would also be able to help.

Other key figures at the time were, Jean Kysow, Dolly Hyne, and Theresa O’Neill (now a Bexley Tory councillor).

Others, who would have had a highly informative perspective eg Hannah Baneth and Dot Salter, have passed on.
