Lewisham Bloggers Met

LBL BloggerLovely to see those that made the meet up yesterday, from memory; Michael, Steve, Andrew, Tanspontine, Robert, The Dame, The Inspector, Clare and Max.As always the discussion was wide ranging but things that have stuck in my memory were the idea of a South East London Bloggers singing group (singing local songs), the difference between enthusiastic partisanship in the comment box and trolling, Kate’s bid for the mayoralty, memories of just how eccentric the Paradise Bar had been, and lots about those that weren’t able to join us.

I’m not sure what others made of the venue, but I think we’re still searching for the perfect Lewisham pub. The Royal Albert was fine, but their mix and match approach to furnishing is better suited to smaller groups.

I think the plan is to head south next time, the Forest Hill contingent had somewhere in mind which sounds good.

Sorry I couldn’t make it. The Prince Albert is my frequent Friday night tipple place as it’s about 3 yards from my office, but it was one of those evenings. I’d be up for singing, though where I would find the time, what with trying to save the Livesey Museum and all those blogs to keep up…
