dezeen has some nice photos of the centre as it should look (ie without broken windows)
I’m incredibly annoyed by the broken windows in this building. Why haven’t they been repaired? I appreciate the special glass is expensive and probably takes a while to make, but couldn’t ordinary glass have been put in in the meantime?
The ugly wooden hoardings that have been there for at least two weeks are a constant reminder of the nasty racist vandals that did this – it’s almost a victory for them.
I’d guess that it’ll be a budget issue Richard. I’d be surprised if the Trust has the money to repair the windows to the state they were in before, and even ordinary glass at that size will be an expensive proposition.
Possibly -but isn’t that what insurance is for?
Do they pay out that quick?

How do we know it was a racist attack? One of the vandals on CCTV was black. Or is just another case of ‘blame whitey’?
