London Elects – Lewisham and Greenwich

Terrible night and day for us and not even the silver lining of keeping the BNP from City Hall.

Congratulations to Boris, commiserations to Ken.

In Lewisham and Greenwich Len’s back with an increased majority, congratulations to him.

Lewisham and Greenwich London Assembly results

Well done to Sue who came a respectable fourth.

Elsewhere it looks like James has a job for life should he want it to last that long, congratulations there. Bad results for the Liberal Democrats in London too as they’ve felt the squeeze and loose 2 Assembly seats.

Go read Andy for the start of a sensible discussion about what Labour ought to be thinking about nationally.

About Andrew Brown

I live in Lewisham, South East London, and spent 9 years as a Labour councillor in the borough between 1997 and 2006.

    from andy’s site

“Labour must become a Party rooted in community, working with local people to improve their streets and neighborhoods. We need to show that we are the people who can look best after their families during difficult times”

i think those days are long gone for new labour, they’ve forgot how to even think in those terms, let alone act in them
